Ticks are common on dogs and cats, especially in spring and
summer. It’s important to stay calm and remove them correctly.
🔎 How to remove a tick properly:
✔️ Use a tick remover or tick card
✔️ Position it as close to the skin as possible
✔️ Pull the tick out slowly and straight
⚠️ Please avoid:
❌ Applying oil, alcohol or glue to the tick
❌ Squeezing the tick or twisting it forcefully
These methods can increase the risk of the tick releasing
pathogens.
💡 After removal:
Disinfect the bite area and monitor it for the next few days.
⚠️ Contact your vet if you notice redness, swelling or any
unusual symptoms.
📌 Save this post so you know what to do if it happens to your
