Vomiting can occasionally occur in pets and isn't always a reason to worry. Sometimes, the stomach is simply reacting to something that doesn't agree with them.
π Possible causes:
π½ Eating too quickly or too much
π± Eating grass
π Food intolerance or a change in diet
π¦ Infections or gastrointestinal irritation
π‘ What you can do:
β‘οΈ Avoid introducing a fasting day without veterinary advice,
especially for puppies, kittens, senior pets or animals with
existing health conditions.
β‘οΈ If your pet can keep food down, offer small portions of
suitable food once feeding can safely resume.
β‘οΈ Make sure your pet has access to fresh water and monitor
their condition.
β οΈ Important:
If vomiting occurs repeatedly, continues for a prolonged period
or your pet seems weak or lethargic, please contact your vet.
Seek urgent veterinary care if your pet cannot keep water down,
vomits blood or appears seriously unwell.
